I can't believe that I stood in line for over 1 hour just to exchange a computer software program. I think I'd go postal if I ever worked in such an environment. Sorry about the poor quality. I guess I won't be using *that* camera again for video-taking ;)
We spent the Sunday at the cottage and launched the raft for the very first time. Yeah, that's right. All you fine arts students thought that it would never float, but it did! We also had a blast with the seadoos as well.
Interesting times in the Canadian Political arena (of course overshadowed by current American politics). Watch the video, pretty self-explanatory. Just in time for a global recession too ;)
2009 started out with a bang for sure. New shift at work, new christmas presents to fondle, More money to make (for now), and... uh... a crap load of debt to buy a house! :D Yay!
It's interesting to me that not more people in Regina Canada commute to work by bicycle more often. I mean the city is only 118 square kilometres in area, so even cycling from crazy east-end suburbia to the heart of downtown only takes 20-25 minutes. Heck, I even beat traffic on the evening commute. Meanwhile you'd save on gas parking and wear and tear on a vehicle.
I talk about an example of extreme road rage that happened just a couple days ago and how non- utilized my city's mass transit is. Traffic builds up as I head home and become even more anxious to sell my car.
I'll be selling the Tempo before May 4th.
SHOW ME YOUR CHILI RECIPE!
We have a pot-luck lunch on Wednesday at work, so I need to cook up something. I've always wanted to know how my dad makes his 'famous' homemade chili, so I attempt to try it myself. Much hilarity ensues of course, but the end result is pretty good :)
Wonder if that additive called acetone gives better fuel economy for your car? Find out!
Sorry about the obvious spelling error at the beginning. Overall, even with the alleged 2.45% increase in fuel economy, it doesn't make financial sense to use acetone since 1 quart costs about $10 here.
A video response to IrishOfNorway who requested I did a 5-fact blog. It was kind of hard to do because there really isn't much I've held back since blogging :)
1.5 months later I finally do a video. The economy has gone to hell so the likelihood of buying a home anytime time soon is almost non-existent. I got smoked off by a car while riding my bike one evening. Everything else in life is pretty boring right now. Snow in October?!? Jeesh!
So I'm employed :) Got a temporary job at Canada Post (they need this position once every 8 years!) and then I start at a lovely american-oriented corporate office space on the 12th of May. We'll see what happens.
Also a brief look at a Glamour magazine from 1978. Ugly ass fashions, but $3500 for a brand new car!
I finally reached my vacation period which lasts until November 19th. I plan to drive to Sherwood Park Alberta to meet up with a close friend before he travels to Paris France... possible for good :O
